Baby John Box Office Collection Prediction Day 1: In Bollywood, festival releases have always been reserved for superstars, mostly the Khans. Christmas has historically been Aamir Khan’s go-to time of the year to release films, and this year, too, was supposed to see the release of Sitaare Zameen Par. However, the film was delayed and it gave a window for Varun Dhawan to bring his action-packed drama Baby John to the audiences. Directed by Kalees and produced by Atlee, Baby John sees Varun playing a fierce father; Wamiqa Gabbi, Keerthy Suresh, and Jackie Shroff also play important roles. With a couple of days left for the film’s release, advance bookings have been opened, and are not very impressive. So far, only 44,782 tickets for the film have been sold.

According to industry tracker Sacnilk’s data, Baby John has earned Rs 1.32 crore gross through its advance bookings. With blocked seats, Baby John’s total collection through advance bookings stands at Rs 2.05 crore. The film has a total of 6,150 shows, with Gujarat having the maximum number of shows: 1,256. In Maharashtra, there will be 1,148 shows, while in Delhi, there are 833 shows listed so far.

From advance bookings sales, Delhi has collected approximately Rs 33.11 lakh, followed by Mumbai, which collected Rs 24.33 lakh. At a press conference in Mumbai recently, Varun had said, “A strong backing is very much needed for Baby John. In today’s environment, if you have to bring a film, you need very strong production support otherwise it gets very difficult to release a film. Nowadays, only larger-than-life films are being made, and it will be approximately 55 days after which a Hindi film is going to release. I always wanted one film of mine to be released on Christmas. We had to really fight and struggle to get this date. Historically, on this date, Aamir sir used to release a lot of films. We are thankful to him for giving us this date.”

Baby John will also see Salman Khan in a five-minute-long cameo. Additionally, singer Diljit Dosanjh will also appear in the song “Nain Mattakka”. After Baby John, Varun will start working on Border 2; he is already working on a romantic film with Janhvi Kapoor.
